hello all. can anybody tell me where i might look at some simple contracts for the lawn business? also i have a question about the winter months (north florida). when you are talking with a potential client and they ask you what you will do in the winter to justify getting paid throughout those months what can you tell them? what if there are no leaves and not many hedges. thanks.

hey Grasmo, I'm in the panhandle of FL and I offer to put winter rye down at either cost or if they're a good client I give them the rye free. Rye is cheap and it keeps you in business from late Nov-Feb. Also tell them that if they let you go for the winter their spring clean-up will be expensive since no-body has touched it for a while.

grasmo:

For better year around income, I am looking into 2 things. First, I will get certified by the state to spray pesticides and berbicides. Secondly, I will get my irrigation liscence from the Texas Nartural Resources and Conservation Commission for installs and maintenance of sprinkler systems.

As far as sample contracts, Grassmaster has graciously provided some for us in one of the forums below.

(on edit) it is in the "Free --> Things to help your business" forum:
