When to Aerate lawn?

Is it to late in the season to aerate the lawn?

Always aerate when during the cool seasons (spring and fall)..as you probably already know. I dont know exactly what the weather is like in Austin so I can't give you a definite answer, but here in Michigan we can get away with Aerating for about another month or so.

thank you for your reply. Weather down here at this time of year is mid 60's at night to low-mid 80's during the day........To late I believe, corrrect?

yeah. i would just wait for the fall..its gotten into the mid 60s at the most here in michigan..and averages are still in the mid 50s really, but once you hit high 70s and even the 80s i wouldnt aerate..good luck

NO it is not to late to aerate. You can aerate anytime of year, depending on what the truf is doing. General rule is to aerate at the first fertilizer treatment and if needed at the last fert treatment of the year.
