Just planted overtime grass seed 3 weeks ago in Kansas. What kind of slow release fertilizer should i use and should i mow a couple of times before applying.Summer is right around the corner so i do not want to burn the lawn.I do have a sprinkler system.

Have you already cut the new seedlings already? Have to know what we're dealing with.
As a general rule, since you've already spread starter fertilizer, I would wait until later in May to fertilize again, nothing loaded with N (maybe something like 13-3-10). Apply nothing in summer, however, watch your watering practices, you don't what to invite fungus to your lawn. Come September you can be a little more aggressive with the N.
