I was reading the paper Sunday & noticed that Office Depot had the "Buy 1 Get 1 Free Deal on their 50 packs of Phillips DVD+R & DVD-R media for $49.97 (I think) but anyways a few pennies under $50 & that's cheap.
I prefer the DVD-R, but my buddy says the DVD-R will not play on one of his DVD players & in real small print it says something about you must get the same kind for the Buy 1 get 1 Free! So we split the $50 & both got a 50 pack of DVD+R's.
I've only burned about 4 of them so, but they appear to be good DVD's. I wish now that I would have bought the Buy 1 Get 1 Free of DVD-R but I didn't know for sure that they would be good?
I've only fell victim to one 25 pack of bad DVD's, I think they were Liquid Media DVD+R's so I really can't complain.
You must really be careful these days purchasing DVD Media, because there's a lot of bad stuff on the market for sale!
Has anybody tried the latest DVD Shrink v. 3.2.0.15, it has a few nice extras & compression down to 54.5% is still very good quality Video. 7+gigs compressed to single layer DVD gives good results without losing quality! :)
Did you know this about DVD's?
If you have bad DVD's that lock & Freeze Frame near the end of the DVD's that you can just do a little more compression & if you use DVD Shrink, you can change the standard 4.7 Gig 4,434 MB to say 4,000MB or 4,100MB & you will not have freeze frames near the end.
If you have a flat out bad DVD, that freezes throughout the DVD you can just copy from it onto good DVD media & in most cases your problem is gone!
