  • Scaper-S2k Presents His Garage Fronted Snow Removal Machine.

Jack D. invited me to post my driveway snow removal machine. I do like his machine, but I do know mine will remove snow much faster, and better.

This machine will not be slowed down by any amount of snow. This machine turns in the same amount of space as an Exmark with a blower attachment. This machine has as much down pressure as you could need. It is has 4 wheel drive operating off hydros. This machine can actually get closer to garages than a blower. You don't have to stand to operate this machine. You will not have blowing snow on you when operating it. You are protected from the elements. It has a diesel engine and block heater. No human strain is needed to operate this machine. This machine has 2 standard lights in the front, and one in the back.

This snow remover doesn't need weights for traction. You don't need to add snow tires. You don't need to add hand warmers. You don't need to add batteries, lights, wires, metal rods. No need to add a remote this or that. No need to change fluids for cold temps, or wire for heated carbs. No need to spend countless hours switching it back to a mower.

Weighing in at under 2000 pounds, it can be hauled around by ANY truck on the market. I have even seen them backed up onto the beds of full size trucks.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

This unit performed better than I had ever planned. Pull up to the property, sit in the machine, start. Drive right over the snowy driveway up to the garage. Drop plow within 1 inch of garage door, put down pressure on. Back up 6'. Spin and back up onto clean pavement, drop plow and drive out the driveway pushing snow out. I then push that snow over to the side. I would have to time it, but my guess would be 100' driveway in 2 minutes? Figure one strip is all it takes. Of course, the plow will also angle if needed.

Notice that the machine is on a 12' trailer. So you can see by the dimensions, it's not very big, but has a lot of power. Notice it can easily be pulled by a small Nissan.

And to put in the last jab. It has a 7' plow that will allow you to also remove snow on smaller commercial lots faster than a truck with a 7.5' blade.

Mr. Skaper knows full well that one of his Toro single stagers would clear a small garage fronted res. drive faster than that abomination. A blower attach on front would be a slight improvement.

Jack D. is heading out the door. He may or may not comment on this fiaso more at a later time.

    One word. Nobackdragtoolonggottastrapitin60times.

    Good evening.

That will unquestionably clear a drive much faster than anything Jack D could cob up. Erich the winner!!!!!!!
Conan, what is best in life? To crush the Democrats, to see them driven before me, and to hear the lamentation of the liberals.

Trust Jack D. when he tells you that Mr. Skaper's New Holland will quickly be relegated to open drives and commercial sites.

If Mr. Skaper is serious about using the Frontier on drives he needs this.

Jack D, the unit pictured can now be strapped down in 10 seconds. Actually, we have been using it without the need for strapping at all. At first, I thought about running a strap like normal (as in the picture). But then decided to mount a 12" wide board up front on the trailer and it has a lock strap on the board. You can simply loop it over the plow and click it into the eyelet I installed on the board. 10 seconds tops.

BUT, as mentioned, we don't need to strap it AT ALL between jobs because the skid steer comes standard with a very strong parking brake (just like on a truck), and of course, you can't push a skid steer when turned off anyway, because of the hydros. In other words, it doesn't move.

The unit is much smaller than it looks. It is about 40" wide. Hardly an "abomination".

As for back dragging? I guess you have no idea how much down pressure a skid steer is capable of.

Nor do I need to wory about how much snow there is. This thing can pile snow 10' high, and won't slow down in a blizzard.

No Jack D., I have 2 full sized skid steers for the commercial sites. And trucks as well. I just put a 9' SnoWay on a Chevy about 2 months ago.

The smaller unit is strictly for driveways, and small lots like apartment or condo lots for 20 cars. One of the foremen takes it out.

            Thank you for your concern.

Driveway= Able to get 1" away from garage door, one swath to the street. Job done. Next?

Only Jack D. could finish 4th in a 3 man competition. Better luck next lifetime.

As a semi retired High Class Snow Removal Scrub, Jack D. has retained 100 of his most closely clustered snow removal customers. Running the route entails working around cars, doing walks, working tight quarters. Mr. Skaper would last 10 min. w/that monstrosity on Jack D.'s route. Mr. Skaper would spend most of his time with a shovel or single stager cleaning up the missed or impossible to reach areas.

This is the difference between a specialist such as Jack D. and a Residential Hack who only dabbles in the market and whose real bread and butter is commercial.

Jack D. is gone for the evening.

                He expects to get laid.

Jack D does not take a loss very well.

Odd, he calls my machine a monstrosity? It's not. Look at it on the 12' trailer. It's about the same size as his Exmark! And I know for a fact that it can turn in the same sized circle. No man handling needed, no blowing snow in your face.

And working around cars is not an issue at all. You can easily see the blade and can go right up to an obstacle.

2" or 2', it won't slow down. It's a great piece of equipment for winter, and summer. When I took it out with the foremen that was going to use it, when I tried it on the first driveway, we laughed because we could not believe how fast and easy it was.

P.S. - Jack, imagine if you had 15-20 homes on the same street. With yours, you need to man handle your dragging front blower. With mine, you just have the machine lift the boom, then drive to the next one while sitting. Did I mention that I might install a heater like the larger units? ($25) Dry and warm, and no fatigue.

                        Next.

This entire thread borders on the ludicrous.

We have a Floridian endorsing Mr. Skaper hauling around and loading /unloading a large piece of machinery w/front plow during a snow event when adding a pull plow w/2k lbs of down pressure and front plow to the Frontier would be 100 Times more efficient on these magical res drives that have space for a 7.5' blade to work around cars and do walks.

Jack D. can only assume this thread is some type of joke and if not he is extremely disappointed in one of his more promising pupils.

Just in case this is not a joke or troll, Jack D. strongly recommends Mr. Skaper click this link.

You must be one heck of an animal trainer! I have never known of Dogs to give themselves showers.

FOR THE RECORD No one from Florida endorsed Scraper's Skid Steer. Since I was the only southern boy to reply to this thread, Please note that I only Drew a conclusion after reading snow country replies. You finished fourth in a 3 man race like it or not. The Great one is not so great. The fisherman went home with out his bait. It is not the first time or will it be the last. Time to rethink your trolling methods.
