I have a chance to purchase a 2002 IS3000Z 61" with 40 hours on it. It has rear I/S and a 25 HP Kawasaki engine. The guy bought it as a demo last year with the intention of getting some Commercial accounts. Well none of those accounts developed and he needs to unload this mower. I called a local Ferris dealer to find out what a new Ferris would sell for, He tells me a 3000 ZF 61" with a 25 HP Kaw front and rear suspension and the upgraded deck sells for $8600. It sounds to me the $5000 for the mower is a steal even if I spend $1300.00 to upgrade the deck some time. It sounds to me with the rear I/P suspension this thing will have good traction when mowing on steep inclines. Can you experts give me some good sound advise on this mower. Should I Buy or wait until spring for some other deals?
