What kind of neighbor hoods have the best response to flyers ?

My business is by referral only. I used to do the flyer thing 25 years ago. That was a time when I was taking on any account I could to generate income. Its been me experience that flyers only work in the middle income [ working mans] neighborhood. Flyers don't do any good here in south Florida where I am located. I work in high-end residential...Word of mouth or referral by neighbor is what works here....along with quality work!
