    I too love my Delavan.

I've never restored a wood shake roof but I hear its similar to restoring a deck as far as chems used and washing technique. After cleaning it would need sealed for protection.

Wood shake roofs are beasties! Good money to be made but it's considerably more labor intensive than asphalt!

Note on the soap that you mix with bleach/chlorine - DO NOT USE AN OXYGENATED BLEACH SOAP - plain old dishsoap.

Lots of good advice in this thread, especially the rinse suggestions.
You can NOT over rinse, but you can under water, with a disaster on your hands.
Even the best roof cleaning job will be ruined if you kill your customers plants!

Water, water, and water some more, keep all plants wet during cleaning if chemical drips on them.
TRY and have a helper on the ground, but if not,, either tarp, or take a water hoes up on roof with you.'

Price by the job, not the hour!

You have done a great job but what is the equipment you use to clean the roof.
