Sweet, I am waiting for my local ski resort to pull the plug. I may have pictures from my day on the slopes this week if they do blow snow this week.

I will be there for opening day. Sugar Mountain started blowing snow last night.

You are right winter is just around the corner.

Trees are still green around here although I did do a leaf clean this past Sunday. I need a good freeze followed by a good wind. From there it's pick'em all up and then on to warmer climates.

Still (somewhat) mowing around here, just at much reduced intervals. Leaves are still a booger -- sprayer is off the truck, stakesides are on. Probably would be wise to pull the plow out to ensure it still works.

Today gotta blow out a few irrigation systems and meet with a few commercial gigs for snow removal bids. It's almost time to winterize lawns as well.

I'm watching the snow as I type, just flurries but it's still snow. I couldn't even do leave the last few days with all the wind we have had, It's going to make for some long cleanups.

Good for you. Without any rain the yards are going dormant.

Most of the yards around here are Bermuda and we have had 2 nights of frost already, the next two nights the temps will be around 27-29 and without any rain that grass is not growing. People around here think November is the cut off. What can I do. I have done 5 FCU's. Also most of the houses in my area are new, when they build subs around here they take all the trees down, hence not many leaves. I am not licensed to do fert apps.

do you aerate and seed? does jaw jaw even require a permit for fert? va. does but some states don't. you need to get a pesticide permit as well. do you do mulch and pine straw? you gotta do your homework and this stuff can be a small gold mine.
