I was at JDL this afternoon and ran into a guy that I was bidding against last month.
"Hey John,, how's it going?"
"hey Scott, whatcha up to these days?"
blah
blah
"hey did you get that bid on Cochran Road?
"ahhh, what?
"Yeah John, you know, Littleton, myself and you was the only ones asked to bid it? Did you get it?"
"oh yeah, that place,, yeah I got it. Nice little contract too"
"Mannnn, I wanted that contract,, I knocked the bottom out of that one. If you got it you havta be losing money."
"hahahahha,, nooooo, it pays good"
"shoot dawg,, if you under bid what I had, we'll have to change your name to Lowrie"
~John gives cheesy smile.~
"Well I know I was low with a bid of 24.8k? and I have a friend at Littleton's and he bid 35.7?. I was hoping just to cover my labor, costs and a little more so Russell could go F/T. Dude you must have been really desperate to go under what I did?"
"huh?,, no it's a good paying contract"
"what did ya bid,, 23k or something like that? It had to be close"
~John's eyes start darting around~
"oh man, I have so much extra going on there, it's a good contract"
"yeah I bet you do,,,, Lowrie"

Eventually I left but the manager called me after he left and asked me why I did that to him? haahahahaa "He was hot!"
Actual bids where in the 17k area.
