Sorry I just saw this thread-my experience with Echo is the exact same as MM.
I'm on my second BR-600. Tank gas cap comes off just enough to kill any bugs on my back but other than that it's #1 for me.
I stay away from Echo and pretty much only use Stihl and Honda here these days...and diesel Kubota.

Three years later and I'll still never buy another Echo. Our Stihl equipment is still going strong. :alien::alien::alien:
