Ferrous sulfate, also called iron sulfate, is a form of iron with several uses as a lawn treatment. Iron products encourage deep greening of turf grasses without encouraging excessive growth, helping lawns achieve a lush appearance without the overuse of nitrogen fertilizers. You can also use ferrous sulfate to lower the pH of soils that might be too alkaline to support a healthy lawn and to temporarily control unwanted mosses. Always use ferrous sulfate products according to label instructions or according to those provided by a qualified horticulturalist.

Ferrous sulfate is a water-soluble mix of iron and sulfur that encourages plant growth while increasing the ability of plants to undergo photosynthesis. It makes for a great herbicide by killing unwanted moss in your lawn, garden and wherever else it may grow. This substance inhibits the growth, function, or life of unwanted fungi, pests, and plants, respectively. It must be used safely if having kids or pets around. It is best recommended to consult pest control services to guide us on its use to avoid any future trouble.
