  • NEWBIE with LOW VOLGATE - Question

    Hello there,
New with the LED low voltage and don't know much about electricity.
Might be a dumb questions but...
Walmart sells the QuickFit LED landscape lights. The only transformer that is available is 35Watts.
Each light is 1.5watts, which means, I can use only 23 lights before going over the transformer capacity.
My question is that, say, I need 26 lights, and I just hate to use an additional transformer.
    What happens if I connect 26 lights (1.5W X 26 = 39Watts) to the 35W rated transformer ?
Will any of the lights still work or not ? will the transformer over heat ? etc ? I just have no clue about this.

Thanks everyone and appreciate the constructive responses !

My advice would be to get a larger transformer. (75 watts) It shouldn't cost much more. Thransformers are generally listed at a number below their actual output but it is always smart to go a little higher. This way if you want to add more lights you are set.
