I heard of a situation where someone had a wood deck washed, and apparently the person using the pressure washer held the tip too close to the deck and caused the wood to splinter, and caused a mess. Has anyone pressure washed a wood deck, if so, what technique do you use. Did you have to get a rider on your insurance policy. I could see where if it is not done properly it could be a headache. I had someone ask me about it.

Hello Mr. Jack:
It takes just a little time & very little Practice to get it right.
I aways washed the same directions the boards went. Always pull trigger with wand aimed away from work & then spray in to it. No matter what you are washing.
There's really no easy way to tell you because depending on the tip, Condition of tip, what degree tip it is, how much pressure & GPM your machine is, will determine the distance you hold the wand from what you are washing.
Maybe go over to one of your Kinfolks or Inlaws & just wash everything in sight, if you mess up anything Just Tell them that you are Sorry. That's what most folks say when they ruin someting of kinfolks.GrassMaster, LSF Administrator!
