Considering a Lawn Service in So. FL.

Hi all,
Great Forum, I am a Firefighter/Paramedic and like most firefighters, have time off. I am considering starting a Lawn Service and have a few questions.
I need to find out what the normal charge is for services in my area, but I dont know who to ask. If I ask other lawn services I might give the wrong impression. I dont want to undercut anyone, I just want to be in the same range, or have an Idea where to start with an estimation.
Also, any recommendation on which type of ZTR mowers to start with?

Suggest the best thing you can do is start reading every forum, thread, and post here and any other Green Industry site you find on the internet.
There is a world of information and quite a good education contained inside these posts. Just go in prepared with a large poop filter and look for the good stuff.
Everything from advertising to ZTR's.
