Hello Everyone,
I have an opportunity to acquire a subdivision to provide lawn and landscape service on a one year contract. My focus was residential so there was never a real need for commercial insurance until now, which I am working on. However, they are asking me for an independent contractors agreement contract, which I am not familiar with and that is why I'm putting it on here.
I was wanting to know from you guys who deal at the commercial level how I go about preparing an independent contractor agreement. I found some on the internet that you purchase and fill out to you particular needs and agreements with the customer, but will this due. If some have a copy so that I can see what you use I would apprciate it.
This a new ball game for me and I want to get it right. I didn't expect to reach this level so quickly but I'm not complaining just wanting to get it right and not look like an idiot. The customer said that my bid was reasonable and that he received many but that he chose us because I personally came out to visit with him and view his concerns and needs, and presented our bid in a professional manner. I have explained to him that this our first big commercial opportunity and he is willing to work with us to get our ducks in a row. His current service provider wanted a 25% increase for the new season and that is why they started shopping around.
Anyways, I hope that I can get some feedback from some of the experienced commercial guys and help me out. I would appreciate it very much.
