I use sq footage pricing and here's the method to my madness. We are a two man operation with small equip (yep, scrubs by zack's standards) and try to get 1.50/min.

I use .0022/sq ft based on ENTIRE lot size. I don't measure the lot, I get the info from the county website. That includes trimming the residence. Then I add on .035/linear ft for other trimming/edging (sidewalks, fences, etc.) We then add 50 cents per tree or other odd obstacle to trim around.

Most of the lots we do are relatively flat and uncomplicated. The formula seems to work well and be within what the market will take up to about 15K sq ft. After that it's a bit pricey.

I have to agree, I have several 2 acre lots. I just wish I could get
100.00 we get around 80.00, 2 ztr's and bang em out in about an hour. We do o.k. but
      I may have to raise my prices. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

        I'm with housefire.

Especially if the larger lots have few obstacles.
