  • partenership/ laptop or no laptop

I was wondering if you guys have any advise on how to split up the books in a partenership besides using a laptop. We are not against the laptop but I know how it was last year with certain things that sounded like great ideas but when it came down to it the were a little harder to use in the field than we thought. A laptop sounds great but 1800 dollars is a lot to spend on a peice of equipment that we are not sure will help.
As far as saving data to a disk and splitting up the work we are afraid of making double entries, and other errors that could effect our books.
Any advise would be very helpful.
    Thanks

Try looking for a good used one, for keeping books you dont have to have the latest greatest laptop.

        Hello burninbil:

Let me Suggest a Nice Used Dell Inspiron 7500, A Killer Puter! []

I run, build, design & maintain 100% of this Forum & all of Lawnservicing.com & 2 other web sites & numerous subwebs with one. I Love it?

Mine new was a Dell Inspiron, with most of the Bells & Whistles new was over $4,000 & you can Purchase used ones at www.ebay.com for $300 & Up.

Mine will be 3 years old Fathers Day & it has been a Wonderful Machine aka Workhorse. I Grind mine to a Pulp, This all I do Many Many hours a Day.

After I had mine 6 Months, I gave my Daughter my desktop Puter, I Purchased me a Docking Station, 19" Flat Screen, Keyboard & Built a Wireless Network with Cable Modem. I have a Kickazz System & it's Old. I've never had to do a System Restore on it Either.

I'm Sold on Dell Laptops 100% & if they want Too they can Charge more for them, They are Worth it!

Go to the Laptop & Accessories Section & Perform a Search for Dell Inspiron 7500. You will be amazed at the number of results.

It was a Very Expensive Laptop in it's Day, But 15" Monitor, CD Burner & etc... 2 1/2 years ago was almost un heard of.

        These are just My Thoughts?
You will find it very hard having 2 people doing books, I would let who ever is the Best do them & then let the other Double Check. You probably will still have problems, Since this issue has came up. Always Keep Plenty of Printed Documentation.

If you must have 2 people doing books each one have certain duties, then it will be Tuff Enough!
