  • RedMax BT250 Trimmer

Can owners of the RedMax BT250 trimmer share your opinions, pros, and cons about this product? Although my husband wants a commercial-grade trimmer, he will mostly use it in a home setting. He has an electric trimmer that uses a .065 line right now, but it does not do a good job of edging (okay for weed-eating, but the line breaks often).

    Thanks,
    Tiny

It is a 25.4cc curved shaft trimmer. I would get a straight shaft trimmer like BC250S if you like to stay with Redmax.

Echo SRM211 is a very good trimmer for about $200. This is a true commercial trimmer rather than the Redmax which is Home Series only. Which ever you choose, make sure get the tap advanced head.( feed line every time you tap the head on the ground while reving the engine).

You need .095 line minimum to get any power to trim grass!!

SRM211 available in Home Depot and OSH also.
