exmark 52 explorer

I have an old EXMARK Explorer from about 1996. This model is no longer made but this mower is in good condition with low hours. I shipped it up to my weekend house in NY. Here is my problem:

This mower is a 52" cut deck with a rear discharge into 2 plastic cans. Even when mowing short grass the discharge passage gets clogged really easy making it inmpossible to use without stopping and clearing the passage.

Any ideas? The deck has 2 long blades and a short one in the front

Can you run it without the bagging ?

I wish but the problem is that the clog happens between the deck and the chute that transfers to the bagging.

make sure your belts for the blades are at the proper tightness and make sure there are no air leaks in the discharge system or anything that is restricting the air flow.
