  • exmark metro chirp when engaging blades... normal?

I get a fairly loud chirp noise when I engage the blades on my 48" exmark. Is this normal? I have new belts all the way around and the belt is adjusted per the owner manual as best as I could do it. It only makes the noise as I engage the blades... after they are running it sounds fine. I can't remember if it did it with the old belt... I just bought the mower and replaced all belts almost right away. Thanks!

guy at exmark told me it is prob the belt making a squeek as the blades engage... never mind then unless you think it may be something else... Thanks

      I Got Turf Tracers.................

don't know if the set up is the same but did you adjust the tension. mine has a hole you can see through to adjust the belt when engaged. you said new belts all the way around so not sure which belt you are talking about. mine has three and replacing two of them is easy but if i replace the drive belt we are talking serious work and it better have the tension adjusted correctly or all hell will break loose......
