  • Looking for lawn mower bagger help

I am aware of the multiple types of baggers on the market.
We have run many walker ghs mowers and have 12 years experiance
    with them.
We need the bagging capability for our crews . We are running Gravely HD units, they have the blower asisted bagger for $ 800.00
I am looking for personal experiances with the 2 and 3 bag units of most mid mounts.
    What is you thoughts?

I thought you were running the Chinese stand on mowers, exclusively?

If I understand what you are doing that is really HD stuff. Toro and JD are the only units I have seen with that kind of capacity. They do the Intel campus's in Hillsboro, Oregon and probably cost a fortune.
Ask your CPA before you get one of those!
If you are looking for a 4WD 60" I own a Kubota and it provides a perfect cut. Customers love the Kubota finish mower look, but bagging is the issue there-as in I am not familiar with Kubota bagging systems but I am sure they have them.
If you are in the $15-$20k range look at Kubota. If you are in the $20-$35K range John Deere is probably better.

We ran Chinese Stand ons for a season under an agreement up until they failed to deliver on a second large order . We have moved to gravely mid mounts.

I currently am working on a deal with husqvarna and world lawn .
World lawn for a stander equal to the exmark stander . We wil run 1 for a month no obligation.
Husqvarna MZ for $ 3700 plus tax they are the 10 mph units not the 8.5 mph

I want to try the gravely bagger to use them as bag only units

I will update here . We have 780 or so hours on the Worldlawn stander and even though we go our gravely's to bag well , we need more walker GHS. We bought 4 used walker last year and a few Husqvarna , this year the MZ is a 8.5 mph mower due to their changes but the price is the same.

A blower impeller for the catcher is a must. I prefer spindle driven so there is no extra engine to worry about. I have a 223 Grasshopper with a bagger. Was really impressed with it until they shrank the size of the bags, so I will not be going that route again. However they have a very good dump from seat unit if that works for you. Unfortunately dump from seat does not work for my operation.

Next midmount I buy will probably be an Exmark with an Ultra Vac. However Hustler has a real good, very high capacity 3 bag unit that would be great on a 60" machine, but I feel it's too big to run on a 54" without being cumbersome.

A powered bagger is a definite. We got 2 grasshoppers this spring that we have been doing spring clean ups with and that was a final reason we decided to go back walker. A 52"600 series and a 61"700 series both with the 24 cuft dump from the seat. ( the 600 isn't designed for it , we made it fit)
They may be better by years end but after I finished my counties start ups thinking it was a 80% perfect machine , other crews think that they stink.
I don't like the fact so much blows out from under the deck while cutting at 3.5"
with it doing fine at 2" scalping. They really are no better then our regular gravely HD units except the dump from the seat.
Come fall I hope leaves make them invaluable.
