I have a little Simplicity Broadmoor and they put on it what they call Automatic Controlled Traction- it is not 4-wheel drive but both back wheels kick in for Superior Traction... Here on the farm i have a REALLY Steep hill by the grain bins and it crawls right up it.... no problem!

Kubota ztr does pretty darn good, will handle a grade in excess of 30 degrees.

I use my Z by mowing up hill, and then backing down.
But there are mowers designed for hill sides.
One is the Power trac. It articulates +/- 45 degrees.
            Another is the DewEze ATM-72LC.

did someone say slopes? i love this knd of a discussion. i've been called stupid, crazy, brave. all sorts of things when people see the slopes i mow. my 61" scag turf tiger will mow some serious slopes! the other mower i'd consider is the hustler for steep slopes. our drasshopper does good too, but the scag holds the trophy here. if i remember to take my digi cam with me, and someone tell me were i can upload pictures, i'll post some pics of some not so pretty, but seriously steep slopes.

Kubota ZD is better than the Wright and the Great Dane as we have those mowers and are able to compare..
The green on the lawn and the green in your pocket live in happy harmony.

no just buy a Walker Mower!!! they have the best cut. Remember its not how fast a mower mows but how monverible it is and how much time it saves with trimming. And thats what Walker do best. And they have the best bagging out. And you can dump from the seat. These mowers will actually back up anything.
