  • First Trade Show

so our first trade show entry begins this Saturday! We are pumped and looking forward to not only just the experience but of course in getting our name a little more "out there." Specifically we are trying to market "custom landscape edging" (aka decorative curbing!) Any tips or advice from the seasoned pro's out there???

Thanks for the reminder. I will have to grab the kids old Holloween candy that my wife wouldn't let them eat.

Give away some korny prize so you can collect the phone number and address of people. I dunno, something like free lawn fertilizations (if you do that) for 2008 should excite them. Award a prize. Then immediately after the show is over, mail a piece to those people informing them they didn't win, but offer something with a "special" discount. Call them a week later to follow up. Just an idea...just don't sit at your booth as fish bait, turn the crowd into bait.

I haven't done the trade show deal yet, I worry I'd get swamped with business and the whole deal would be retroactive. I keep saying 'maybe next year.'

How do I go about finding out about these trade shows in an area? Never been to one, well Dixie Deer classics but I know thats different. Just tryin to gain information/knowledge any way I can.

Call your local Chamber of Commerce, they will know the answer, or they will know exactly who you need to call to find out.
