    I was just wondering how many out there roll sod. I always do and we picked up those two properties I asked pricing on on here, and it turns out none of the FOUR companies it took for the install rolled the sod.

    Sometimes I will, sometimes I won't. If there's a very good smooth base, then it really isn't needed every time.

    Now if someone is just tossing it down and sliding it together real quick, then a roller is a must on every job no matter what.

    That sod would try to root into concrete if it's watered. So as long as the top coat of soil is real nice and fairly compacted underneath, you should be okay on those types of jobs.
