Expanding your service area is a great opportunity! For larger contracts, traveling up to 150 miles one-way can be worthwhile, especially with multiple locations in one area. Your plan to group these new sites with existing routes is efficient and helps optimize travel time.

Kauai, Hawaii, is a captivating destination celebrated for its lush landscapes and vibrant wildlife. One of the highlights of my visit was bird watching in Kauai. These nestled within Hawaii Island Kauai, are home to remarkable species like the Nene Goose and Red-footed Booby, where I explored stunning bird sanctuaries and aviaries. Observing these birds in their carefully managed habitats was not only a visual delight but also a reminder of the intricate care and planning that goes into preserving such unique ecosystems.

Expanding your service area, especially with large contracts, can be worthwhile even for long distances. Grouping locations on your route helps optimize travel time, similar to how conservationists manage diverse areas on Kauai. For ongoing expansion, consider crew rotations or temporary local accommodations to streamline operations and enjoy the rewarding experience of working in new places.

What is the furthest you send your crews for work? We have closed several contracts for the coming year with large food chains. I just placed bids on 7 of these facilities that are 84 miles away. Thats about 179 miles round trip and that includes drive time between locations.

Total bid for all seven was 23K for the coming season. These are the furthest away I have ever placed bids on. I figure they can all be easliy doen the same day and added them to routes we have that are 30 miles south of these.

As we contimue to work with these chains they are asking for more bids in farther away areas. The good news is there are usually 5 plus units in a given area. Just curious how far you guys travel.
