i was checking with an agent for my kid--he's planning on starting up next year. i was quoted 250/for 100k liability. if i wanted on--it was an additional 250/yr (actually for the season).

I assume your talking general liability. Your initial rate will be the most money and it isn't much to upgrade. I would atleast go to $1 million coverage, that isn't really that much $$$ in the sue happy world were in today. A rock hitting a kid or something could finish you with less than adequate coverage. I do a lot of commercial and carry a $2 million gen. liab. and workers comp. and am thinking of upping it another million. Most commercial will require you to have at least a million gen liab if you are thinking of getting some commercial properties it might be a good idea to just inquire about it while your pricing.
