  • buying a exsisting business

A friend of mine that is getting ready to be deployed wants to sell me his business. He has 7 mowing jobs, and 120 aeration homes. I worked with him
and he is trustworthy. I have just started a small mowing business and am
looking to expand it. He has a 16 foot trailer with toolbox and trimmer bars.
2 ryan aerators a echo backpack blower and the 127 customer list He is asking 8 grand what do you think. He has been doing this part time for 5 years. He has already sold his mowers. I have 2 commercial mowers so that is
    not a factor.
    Any advice would be apprectiated

Can you give some more details on the mowing accounts. Sizes, travel times, frequency, services provided, etc.

The travel time is about 30 minutes all the lawn are withing 4 blocks of each other. The 120 aeration homes are in that same area. He also does seeding and fertlizing. I aerated with him this year and he has been telling everyone
that I would be doing it next year. He stated he would sign a no compete
        clause.

If you only aerate annually and you already did it this year it is going to be quite a while before you recoup your 8 grand. Something to think about.

              do it

Aerating 120 yards alone will pull you in 10 grand in one year at least......plus the income from lawn service $3500 one season........plus fertilization income......sounds good man.......

Now everyone go answer my post on previous page
