Just curious as to how many of you(if any) send out end of the season thank you letters. I was thinking of doing this, or should I say, am going to do this. I also want to put something in there about services for the next year as well as advertise my business through my current customer base. I would much rather get business by word of mouth than through other means. Would anyone be willing to share what their letter might contain? Any help or advice would be great!!

letters
I send out a letter just after thanksgiving thanking them for there previous bus. and "looking forward" to there continued patronage. I also remind them that we are still picking up leaves, ect, ect, snow, ect. Then a renewal type letter proposal in early march and remind them how much referrals are appreciated. as well as spring clean ups. I also will just stop in and visit many of my customers in the winter when were not busy, many times that will get them thinking about spring projects as well. Usually by late feb or march I am booked until mowing starts.

I've been doing that for several years. I first started out with calenders that hang on the wall, then desk calenders; then Christmas cards. The past few years its been a Christmas letter.
Its a good way to remind your clients why they choose to send you money for services. It puts a personal face on your service, and its really important as you grow your business.
