  • Phrases you can use in advertising. Making List

What phrases and words do you use in your flyers/door hangers/postcards?

Lets make a list that everyone can draw from.

    *Fully Insured
    *Reliable
    *Licensed
    *Quality Service
    *Free Estimates
    *Professional Weekly Lawn Service
    *High Quality

How do you feel about adding the term *English Speaking?
Do you think people will respond negatively. In my market it would defiantly set me apart from my competition.

    Please add to the list

Use ... the term (bilingual) but be prepared to speak spanish ... to your customers and your workers ... don't rule out having Latinos as customers and having to speak their language ... not yours ... (I know it sounds weird) ...

P.S. by 2010 ...not that far away ... it's said that 60% of all (new) real estate transactions in the U.S. will be "Hispanic Driven" ... this is according to the logistics department at Century 21 ... ask them about it ... I was quite surprised as well. A lot of that will be apartments, rentals, duplexes, shared space living and how many single homes I don't know ... but here's an SOS for anybody reading this message and get this ...

... it would be wise to visit your town engineering department and ask them about the buzz ... in regard to a possible reenactment of the 1940's type small ... starter houses ... that may begin to show up in the construction markets ... why? ... Hispanics will ((( VOTE ))) that stuff into play to "house" themselves in properties (not rents) that will advance in value ...

A few months ago we started using 'English-speaking Crews' in our advertising. We didn't used to...but here's why we started. A LOT of people have been asking us if we have English-speaking crews...and they're very happy to find out we do. That's not to say we don't use Hispanic labor...my best employee is from El Salvador and speaks little English. He's the hardest worker we have and I'd take a dozen more like him. However...by saying 'English-speaking Crews' - we are letting the customer know that there will always be at least 1 person that is English speaking. In our case, that's our crew leader. For us, it's definitely been a positive, not a negative.

HMM IN THE 1990'S the FCC stated by 2005 all TV stations must be HDTV format only here we are in 2005 and not all the tv markets are HDTV compatible. they have since pushed it back 5 yrs to 2010. Could it be that century 21 is wrong and will push it back to 2015. please check this forum again in 2010 for an update to century 21's next philosphy

p.s. the usa consists of over 100 tv markets

            How about:

            Scrub-free
            Lowballer
            No insurance=cheap price!
1 Man crew with no other yards to do.(Then they know theirs will be done.)
            Desperate for work-Hire me!
Lost my job, family, and dog, please hire me.
Fully uninsured for you're price protection.

These seem to work good for me, especially written with a black marker on cardboard.

Affordable, which is in my name, Affordable Grass Cutting. My thought is there's a market for people who like to work in their yard, planting flowers, etc., but don't have the time or the desire to cut and edge. I will do more if requested but so far I've found there are a lot of folks that just want the basics. Affordable seems to get their attention.
