Start with Erie, then shop around to get the quote you are looking for.

          Allied

I've been running my liability and equipment coverage with Allied Ins. through an agent in my area. Have been using them for about 7 years now. I made my first claim with them this winter (plow vs. car) and they were awsome. About a 4 day turn around time.

Don't know how you business is structured but I would recomend becoming an LLC first then getting the ins. The LLC will seperate your personal and business assets.

I would try contacting your local Business association. They are bound to be able to hook you up with local ins. agents.

As far as price goes, most are based on the amount of business you report that you are doing and if you have employees. If you are doing 20 G's a year it's pretty cheap, if you're crankin' in the accounts, it's going to get a little more pricey.

          Good Luck

Where is ALLIED INSURANCE located - got a phone number?
I'm in Michigan and I'm also curious about insurance. I could use a new insurance company for my car policies.
Do you also have your home insured through them?

THANKS in advance for your help!

In Michigan we've got our vehicles thru State Farm. We've had experience with a personal insurance claim with them and they are great. Our Liability is thru Reed Ins. We just got them this past year. No problems yet.
