So someone tells you "this is what is working in my market" and you imitate that then it is a bad idea? It seems to me like the way to go would be to follow the successful people. Of course, if you are in the same market with similar ads then it might be a different story.

        Keep trolling.

He's trying to bump up his post count. Take his total and divide it by 27 and you get his actual post count.

An Extra 1,000 post added to your username is up for Bid!

Phil's already close to 500 post ahead of anybody else here...

But if he can get 5,000 post before anybody else he wins a (What)?????

If post counts meant anything I would put 10,000 on my username.

If somebody wants to make me an offer on a Extra 1,000 post added to their user name, feel free to bid on it & if the money is right I'll add it to their Username. I do have a PayPal account waiting for a Deposit!

PS: Phil just wants you guys to think about what he's posting?

You guys might not want to believe this but this post with the 27 advertising mistakes could turn out to be the most important post you will ever read in your entire business career. No, really.

Why ? ... Getting customers is the same as an unemployed person getting a job ... without a job ... without enough customers you could go broke and ruin things like ... your life ... your family ... your credit ... your future ... your kids future and so on.

Advertising and what I like to call "customer acquisition" actually it's the same thing as landing a job ... is job one in business. Where you and your business goes in life depends on how many and what kind of customers you get.

                  Don't rush the list ...

an address can be important because some people like to buy from those who are "local folks" helps to support the community ... plus they can find you if they need you ... some don't like to deal with out of town (ers) ... you are a real person who lives in a real house in a real town ... also think "trust" ... they have to trust you ... if you live and are "local" your likely to take better care of that (trust issue) ...

In other words ... people like to do business with people they know and trust ... I do can't speak for all ... it's like saying where do I return these goods to if they don't work? WHO do I call or go see !!!!!!!!!

                            4. Advertising only a few months then deciding it's not worth the cost. Most businesses need a year or more of well-placed, well-thought out advertising before substantial results can be seen. Plus ... it needs to be seen or heard 7 times to be remembered at all and to "register".

This is true, very true, as Phil says. I have had new people that we have picked up say that they remembered us from an earlier advertisement, then went to look for us, and found us where they thought they had seen us. Good post, Phil.
