I'm starting my second season in business and looking very much forward to it. However, I don't want to go through the frustrating and annoying issue of hiring and firing guys because I can could not find a good dependable worker.
I was wondering how some of you go about finding workers for the season even permanent employees. I just put ads in the paper and I have had two calls, but one lives on the other side of town and has no way for me to contact him unless he calls me. Another called, but when asked if he had transportation, it depended where I was located! I foresee problems with both, so their both out.
I'm just curious what some of you do to get geared up for the season with help.
