  • License, Insurance, in Florida???

    Hello,

Iam a new member and this is my 1st post, great fourm you guys got here. My question and situation is this. Iam starting a new lawn business stricky cut, edge, and blow service with my father in law who has had a lawn business before. Iam going to be in charge of all the office work. Iam woundering if Iam going about setting up this business correctly when it comes to the paper work. It will just be 2 owners working.

Please tell me if this is the wright order to go about things, and anything I may be over looking.

I was going to register a fict. name and set up a bank account as DBA. I was going to obtain liabilty insurance, and covage on the equiment truck etc. What else am I missing as far as setting the paperwork side of this up. Do we need to be licensed or is the fict. name enough? If we do need to be licensed can you point me in the wright direction. Any input on this would be great.

    Thank You

Most counties or cities require a business license. You must first register a fict..name before you can get your lincense. I did mine at my county tax office. Any tax office should have all the info for you. Hope this helps some.

Thanks again Captain, would you happen to have anything for sale?
