First of all get insured!!! You don't want to lose everything you own because you were mowing a apartment building, tossed a rock, hit a little kid. Kids are always attracted to machines whether it's a mower or trimmer. Most commercial accounts I have require proof of insurance before giving out the contract. After you get your insurance then go after the work you want.

You are absolutley correct. I cut several apartment complexes an they all require proff of insurance.

you need insurance regardless of what type of work you're doing. It shouldn't run you more than $600 a year if you're solo for a mil.

Even in Ozz we require insurance. I handle several Strata accounts and A fair number of Real Estates all of which require Public Liability. Mine is $10 000 000.00. I also carry work (to cover my equipement against theft) and sickness insur. If you check with a few different brokers you should get a reasonable price.

If you insist on not being insured ... stick with residential ... while it's not wise ... done all the time
