I have recently created a flyer advertising my business. I cannot decide what will get more customers. Any help would be great!!!

Option 1: Pricing on flyer says $40 for an average lawn and $5 off every cut if you call before a certain date.

Option 2: Price says $35 for an average lawn.

What will get more customers? THanks. ANy other tips for a newcomer. You guys r great!

Why not have a tear off business card on your flyer or a magnet. Also what about a place on the back of your hanger for a written estimate since you took the time to walk up to there door anyways.

what do you call an average lawn? i have a min. of $35 . one lawn i have is 18 min. from get there to cranking up the truck and leaving. $35..... around the corner 45 min. ....... $35 . my point is what is an average lawn and who decides what is average or above? i say don't use $$$ on your flyers. say what you do and if they call then go by and let them know how much. sell your product in person.

I do this and it has worked for me.

I do not Price on my flyer.

If I get called for a quote I will go meet the person and give them a price. I also tell them if they can get 2 or 3 of there neighbors to use my service they can get a discount. I have one area that I mow 4 houses together two on each side of the street and just got called to add one more this year. Thats 5 yards in one stop.

Also last year I saw a thread on this fourm about FREE mowing.

I put a special on my flyer that went something like this.

          SPECIAL
          FREE MOWING
          The fifth mowing is free.
If you use my service 4 times the 5TH Mowing is absolutely FREE.

fine print " limited to 1 free cut per season per home"
Special only good if booked before May 1st

People love free stuff. Everyone that signed up for the Free Mowing kept me all Season and recomeded me to there friends.

          My work speaks for itself.
