  • Truck lettering, your thoughts....

I am considering lettering on my truck this year. I was wondering if anyone has found a significant spike in calls atfter lettering their truck.

    Thanks

Accessorizing your truck or van so it looks like a giant lawnmower can also be an effective marketing tool.

Mr. highlander316, ridiculing, Mr. Skaper's Lawnmowermobile is not productive. Please note this is a giant leap forward from cabovers.

Regardless, lettering of any type will bring countless calls and is generally more effective than flyers. Jack D. has used various unique looking vehicles during their first year of production; the PT Cruiser, the New Beetle and Pontiac Aztec, lettered w/$18 Pro Cuts & Phone #. The vehicles were parked in shopping areas or in fast food parking lots near the sub divisions Jack D. was targeting. He also had one of his ladies use the vehicle for daily runabouts. The responses were enormous.

Should Jack D. accept an honorary position in his former company he will be pushing for a Honda Ridgeline or Chevy SSR as the companies next mobile billboard.

          Jack

Can you give me any more info on $18 Pro Cuts, in terms of efficiency? What was your crew size, equipment, # of lawns cut per hour, etc. There are some neighborhoods around me that have very small lawns that could be knocked out in 5-10 minutes, but most people assume LCO's will charge 30 or 35 dollars a cut and cut their lawn themselves. I think a price that low, maybe slightly higher, could be very profitable and these people would jump all over it. But if I do get into it, I want to be set up to get maximum efficiency. Help is much appreciated.

Good afternoon Mr. Newjbe, the primary requirement for an $18 mowing service is being able to complete 3-4 units per hr. Price will give you the density to achieve this goal. Jack D. has amassed his fortune and is in semi-retirement from the Hurly Burly world of residential mowing.

The business plan of this Up and Comer is similar to the strategy Jack D. pioneered, however their use of the electronic medium admittedly surpassed $18 Pro Cuts. Please be advised that Jack D. has not been actively involved in expansion since sale of the company or he would have developed a superior web presence. This however, is a good template.
