      This is based on a 2 acre lot moderately wooded. Not 2 acres of actual turf.

      I'd do a 10-month contract:

      * Weekly visits April 1 - Oct. 31. (28-32 cuts annually)
      * String trimming of entire property.
      * Steel blade edging of walks, driveways, and curbs.
      * All debris blown from hard surfaces.
      * Leaf removal completed bi-weekly Nov. 1 - Dec 24. All leaves are removed from beds and lawn. Lawn is mowed as needed with bagging mowers.

      $408/month with the option of paying one month in advance or getting the final bill in Jan.

          I didn't realize you were 17. Guess I missed that the first time through. How are you going to cut 50 properties once school starts back in the fall?

                  My only concern would be insurance issues. What if he damages property? Is your insurance going to cover his mistakes. Workers comp (probably not at your age) might also be an issue.

                  Just some thoughts..

                    I've been following this post, and the only advice I have is you should just go out there and work... see how many customers you get. If you need your helper start paying him 10/hour, and offer him a raise if you feel this is neccesary. If he's helping you pass out flyers, etc..and not just cutting grass then I would work out a percentage of customers generated from flyers. good luck

                      That's exactly what you should do A+. Write down a couple of the ideas that you've had as threads on here and go do it. Just see what happens that's all you can do.
