  • A Flyer Tip.

I have seen many flyers posted here, or flyers I get at my home that are just black and white print.

That's no big deal though. But what I always see is a picture of a tree or a guy cutting grass. The problem is that these pictures look a bit like outlined drawings, or a bit 'cartoonish' clipart.

Keep in mind that you can make up a great looking flyer, with some of 'your' nice real photographs. Color photos STILL look pretty nice when printed in black and white. Sometimes they will look even better!

Take pictures of your work and put them on the flyer. They will stand out much more than the 'fake' looking clip art.

I mix my photos in with my text on the flier while working in Adobe llustrator. Use your best photo as a 'watermark'. Then scatter a few more on the page. Most programs will work, and even if you don't know how to set all of it up on the computer, simply print up the flyer on white paper, tape your pictures to it, go get a laser copy made. White-out the tape marks, and then print up large quantities.

Just remember to use your own pictures, or at least get permission first from someone.

    Good luck guys.

Here is a guaranteed flyer for response rate of over 50% for turf areas up to 4k.

      "College Mowing

Mowing, Trimming and Blowing of Hard Surfaces.

All Lawns $18, Front and Back."

You could put a Swastika on this flyer and still retain a 5% response

i got the door hangers made that have the perf biz card at the bottom. the 'body' of the hanger has a watermark of my co. logo. compared to some of the flyers i've been seeing, i think mine look bada$$......also, ive been seeing people advertising their lawn care serv. by hanging signs on telephone poles that read, "lawn service 555-5555". and theyre putting them on, get this,...scrap vinyl siding! using stencils for the lettering. gimme a break.

We had a guy here running for co. comm, I guess he didn't have any money because he cut signs out of scrap plywood and hand panted them. Kinda weird. He didn't win.

We had kind of the same thing here. The signs for this one political hopefull looked really good and were painted on OSB board. Then when he lost the election he used the OSB for sheathing on his new funeral home he was building.
