I am thinking of selling. $43,000 annual revenue. 23 customers. 22 hours per week with 2 people. 40 weeks per year. 6 years established business. $17,000 equipment. How much are people willing to pay for something like this? $80,000? Input would be helpful.

The value of the equipment is all I would pay.
Those are your customers...not the next guys.
I was offered a 950 plus customer base for spraying a few years ago.
I told the owner the same and he eventually realized I was right. The green on the lawn and the green in your pocket live in happy harmony.

Hi celawn,
If you'd like, we could help spread the word for you that you are selling. When you figure out what you want to sell and how much, post it here and we will help get it to other sites as well.

I would pay three times your weekly service amount for the customers that sign a contract with me. The first month I retain your customers I pay you one third. The second month I retain your customers I pay you one third. The third month I retain your customers I pay you one third. By the third month I have a good idea if the customers are going to stay or not. I would not however pay additional money for things such as clean-up income, landscaping, chemical applications, irrigation, ect. The only value in purchasing customers is the weekly maintenance contracts. I would probably tell you to sell your equipment on ebay. The only "companies" worth purchasing at a premium are those with a branded name. The rest of the "companies" are only worth face value.“veni, vidi, vici.â€
