Out of the two mentioned, I would go redmax, but out of all I would go Shindaiwa.

Homer: It's called a "lawnmower". I invented it. Want one?

I'll stick with my Red Max EB7001, and maybe some day I'll consider trying out the EB8000. I like the 2 year commercial warranty. My second choice would be Shindaiwa. Third choice Kawasaki. Then finally Stihl.

If I'm not looking for a chain saw I'm not looking at Stihl. Even then I look at Jonsered, Husqvarna, and Stihl....in that order.

How did you get a 2 year commercial warranty on redmax? I thought Echo was the only one that offered a 2 year commercial warranty on blowers?

              Redmax or Stihl blowers???????

Sounds like people prefer Redmax over Stihl but nobody sais why? I dont mean to be a pest but I would really like to know why one is better than the other. Thanks....

Stihl is pushing at about 180 mph and the Shindaiwa and Redmax are over 200mph. More power + less time = more $$

If you check with any of your local RedMax dealers they'll tell you that the standard commercial warranty is 2 years, or you can find it in the owners manual. Most of the other manufacturers state that they have a 2 year homeowner warranty, but only offer 1 year commercial warranty.

Echo also puts out a powerful blower very comparable to the RedMax and Shindaiwa. Not many guys want to mess with the Echo anymore due to the fact that they're sold at Home Depot and had to sacrifice quality to get the price down enough to please their main distributer.
