  • business network

today a friend of mine told me about a local business networking company.

here's the deal, you pay 300.00 a year, plus 40.00 a month, which covers your breakfast or lunch, depends on what time you want to attend the meeting.
it has lots of business people in the county, mostly high profile people who talk to lots of people and network really well.

they are wanting a LCO to join up. i told her i would attend tomorrow morning to check it out.

    what do you guys think?

Sounds expensive, but if it pays off it will be worth it. Do you know the history of this organization? And if it pays to join??

well i thought the same thing. i thought if i could gain 4 accounts on it, it would be worth it, but nearly 900.00 for the year.

just not too sure about this one. i dont like the fact of meeting in the morning at 730 when i could be out making money.

we'll see. if i go, i'll let you know what they're really up to.

At least go to a meeting or two as a guest of your friend. That is usually normal. After the meeting talk to the other members, probe them, ask any and all questions. In my professional exprence these things usually turn into a social meeting.

Join your local Chamber of Commerce. Probably cheaper, and they usually have a LOT of members and a LOT of other benefits.

i went to the meeting this morning. it went well. i already have a job for going. i'm the only LCO in the group, so that's a blessing.
i still haven't made my mind up about joining. i'll think on it for a week and see.

look dude, this is what he said exactly since you're so interested in my business... (chris) "i have several trees and shrubs that needs planting, 40 bales is what i normally get, when can you get around to doing it".

i'll be sure to let you know when i do it and how much i make.

Around me they have a meeting where all the realtors come to eat breakfast one time a month. It is free and I was told that companies that these realtors might need, show up. Just walk around and hand out your buz card. I might give it a try if I slow down a little.
