  • Drafix Pro Landscape

Has anyone got their hands on Drafix's program? It looks great! But would love to heard some experiences any of you may of had. It sure beats the price of Dynascapes at $1200. I ordered the free trial version so I can see what its like and if its anything Im missing.

    Hi invincible569,

Have you created anything on the program yet that you could show us?

Team G, i can definitely do this once I get it in. It said 7 business days to get here. I have done designing as a side hobby so this would be good to work with and see what i can get out of it. Here's a quick HTML website I created for a friend of mine. We are both in the saltwater hobby.

I've also worked with Visio for network documentation on laying out diagrams. I can show you guys an example of this too.

Lets see if this works. This is some of the Visio stuff I have done at my current employer. Visio can also be used for Irrigation.

Tad bit mean unless your joking around. Some times it is just polite and good business to not say anything at all.

Sometimes but not this time ... 569 is "more valuable" where he is at ... see what I meant ?

Ive used Pro several time and feel it is A basic design program. if your new to the industry it will work well for a couple of years. Currently I am using eagle Point Landcad. It is a program that is usable with most enginerring cadd programs and allows me to design over there building and site plans saving me lots of time. Some designers we subcontract with use Garden Graghic and that is a Excellent program. (i little spendy though) I think pro is popular because of there heavy advertizing. Check some others out before you buy.

Phil, thanks for the compliment. I'll keep my day job if you can guarantee my job for life.

PDP, thanks for stepping in. This is the information I was looking for. Do you have any samples of your work with any of these graphic programs? Thanks again!

569 ... I'm guessing at this but if you're a "real person" ... ... it seems you have computer talent, tech talent, whatever you call it ... and perhaps consider developing a biz of your own based on those talents ... design software etc. ... ????? ... teach classes at the university ... do computer service calls ... must be much more?

Thats definitely something to think about. I've actually taught Networking (IT) classes at Rice University (RTEC) for a while, and I wasnt too thrilled about it. I know for a fact that the design side of my company will be strong, but I dont want to limit my new business with just design. I have high dreams .. to the landscaper that does it all (irrigation, masonry, etc) with a minimum of 50 employees to my own location where I can provide stone, mulch, fountains, trees, etc. to always fall back on when I grow old and grumpy.
