  • Boots!

Boots! What's everybody wearing these days. I used to buy those cheapo steel/waterproof ones at wally world along with some gels but I'm tired of buying new one every 3-6 months.

Anybody have any input on a quality boot for a flat footed scraper?

Don't see how it relates to Running Your Business issues but...

RED WING, wore 'em for years, great comfort, even greater durability and customer service. I wear 9EEEE so Red Wing/Irish Setter is my foot savior.

WOLVERINES ain't too shabby. I want to try Carhartt's new boots.

I think the new carhartts are made by red wing. They are a very quality boot.

I tried a $180 pair of cats that only lasted me 3 months in the summer. I've been wearin a pair of Columbia winter boots through this past winter. I think I'll be trying Georgia boot for the summer season.

Scott, I am a boot aficionado. I tried them all when I was climbing towers and so far I've found Montrail Boots to be the longest lasting. www.montrail.com (see overland then Torre GTX.) I've had this pair for three years now. They were resoled for $55 last fall. Completely waterproof. Throw on a pair of these www.rei.com gaters and you're ready to roll. Expect to pay from $150+ depending on how high tech you want to go.

I think perhaps Casey should be considered for Mr. Legs of LSF?????

Ive got some Danner steel toes on right now....I am happy with them. They were a little stiff at first but after I wore them in they are very comfortable.

Having said all that I will probably go back to Wolverines for my next pair, just because they are comfortable from the first day.

i took casey's advice last year and bought the montrails. they are good. if you spend the $$$ on socks that go with them it is worth also. $10 to $20 a pair. no sweat ... no smell...... warm in winter ... cool in summer.
