I have designed a new logo for my business. Please tell me what you think ? Do you like it, or would I be better off letting my kids do it ? This is the url:

      Hello:

Can I help you with it. The Strange thing is you have it set up right for the URL, But are you Sure the URL is Correct!

Ok, You got it Right in the First Post!

It Looks Nice But... I would Make the Green Darker & Make the Actuall Grass about Twice as Thick? BTW It Looks a Lot Better than What I can Do!

Rob, I'm Going to Delete Your Last 2 Post, I hope you Don't Mind!

Thanks for the feedback, Grassmaster. I will work on darker and thicker grass. I'm a software guy, not a graphic artist, so this kind of stuff is challenging for me. I will post with improvements.

          Rob,
There are ten million ways to do a logo so everybody will give you a different answer ... here's mine:

          1. Name change to Green Lawn & Landscape Services so the name doesn't lock you into just lawns.

          2. Make logo dark green letters on a light green backgound.

          3. Have the triangle pitch go down to a more grass looking straight plane below.

          4. Make the logo an oval or a circle because it's much easier to look at or put the logal "within" a circle or oval.

            Rob...

Is there special meaning to the triangle? I'll try to come up with something later today. What did you think of Phil's name change idea?

When I first started, the guy who did my signs for my truck tried to get me to change my name to "Grasshopper", as I will hop from lawn to lawn. I was cute, but I'll just be the "Lawn Guy". I do everything in the lawn that I can, not just cut.

Also, (a quick fix)after the main 4 initials, the font seems a bit small and light. I caught myself looking strictly at the initials. I would at least make the smaller font bold.

                Other than that, not bad.

Giving the logo too much grass will be harder to reproduce on signs with vinyl.

So, if you are going to give it more grass, don't go overboard.

Here is the semi-final version. Thanks, Phil for the early review before I put it here on the board. It prints quite well.

The new logo is coming along, starting to take shape ... just a thought ... on the left triangle you have grass which I think is good ... but on the right side of the logo should there be something to do with a landscape depiction so that in looking at the general idea the viewer doesn't assume you are only in the "lawn bizz"?

How are you going to get that logo put on your truck, shirts, and hats? The picture seems to be too detailed.

                          Jordan:

I have it on my truck. I friend of mine from church is a professional sign maker (does all the ride signs at Six Flags Astroworld and Waterworld). He said he would do it for me ($85). For business cards, I simplified it to one color. It looks like this:

Webshots, the best in Desktop Wallpaper, Desktop Backgrounds, and Screen Savers since 1995.

This is probably the design I will use for hats and shirts.
