    Hello, again.
Follow up question to my earlier post on advertising--In that posting the issue of licensing came up. Would I need to be licensed if I was just to do lawn mowing, not application of fertilizer or pesticides, etc. If so, who would I need to contact to become licensed? Thanks.

Some states require an initial bizz license and some don't. Contact your state department of revenue services because many states impose sales taxes on services and or materials used on the jobs. Look in the blue pages for government offices, call a general number for the right dept. Or enter your state name on general internet search like ... Connecticut GOV dot org

Phil is right. Check it out.
We need one here in Fl.and it varies from county to county and likewise for the big cities. A lot of PT'ers don't. But thats another story. When we were in Wisc. I did not need to get an Occ. lic. but I had to get certified to use Round-Up,etc. Go figure.
Cover your bases. Get what you need to conduct business.
