  • Verbal vs. Written Contracts

I'm just starting, and am think of using verbal contracts with residential customers initially. As the business grows/gain commercial accounts, I would evolve to written contracts.

How do you use contracts with their residential customers (verbal vs. written)? Is there any advantage/disadvantage to either.

If you use a written contract, how did you have it prepared (by a lawyer). Is there such a thing as a boilerplate contract?

    TIA,

    Rudy

    Rudy,

We use verbal for residential. The only time I've regretted not using written is when someone asks if you would do their bushes or something that wasn't agreed too. They think you should do it as a favor....guess people think you do this for your health.
