  • Best Type of Business License and Why

    Hey ya'll,

I've been doing some research and based on operating in FL, what would be the best type of business type and why? I was thinking an LLC or an S-corp.

    Hello Kendrick:

Does Florida require you to Have a Special LLC or S-Corp? If you are Required to Just Foget my 1,001 Reasons below not to be a LLC or S-Corp.

Can you be a Sole Proprietor and...

Why Not Sole Proprietor, Most of your Smaller Businesses are & When you become a Multi Million Dollar Outfit then you Get Incorporated or Whatever? Extra Expenses for what if not required?

Maybe in the State of Florida Corporations are Protected against Law Suits, but in Georgia it's something that is Designed to Bleed the Working Man to Death & Make him a Huge Target for Law Suits!

    Please Read My Post Here:

Like I said in My Post at the Link above, I've Owned 5 Different Businesses & I've always been a Sole Proprietor, I've never had a Need for anything Else. Maybe it would be Different if I had 20 or 30 Employees or I was Doing Millions of Dollars of Business a Year!

If you Want Protection, there is only one Kind for the Self Employed Working Man & that's Liability & Workers Comp Insurance Combined!

That's my .02 Cents, The More Paper Work you've got to do, The More People that you have to pay to do it for you, the More Folks that Know Your Business, it will be More Headaches for you, The More Wear & Tear on you, Your Check book & Forget about Privacy of Any Kind! Because everybody at the Lawyers Office, The CPA's Office & Everybody they Know will then Know about You & Your Business!

It's a Vicious Circle out there in the Business World & the More that Know Your Business means More Will Find out about You & all Your Business!

I'm a SP here in Fl. and have been for 14 yrs. My accountant said the best way to go if you go inc. is S-corp. Did not ask why but he REALLY knows his stuff.
Sorry I can't help out more.
