  • Logo?

I feel that a good name and logo are essential to a company. Where can one get a Logo designed and about how much would it cost? I am trying to find an affordable way of doing this but still getting a quality logo.

If you search online for logo designers or realted terms you will find them easy. As for cost it depends what you want, backgrounds, colors, fonts, etc. I personaly found myself a catchy name and made my own logo.

one good way to get a logo done is to talk to your local highschool. Tell them you would like to hold a competition for the art classes.Have them draw up logos for you to choose from and the winner will recieve a cash prize. This will get you a bunch of diferent designs for a lot less than you would pay a professional .

I agree, you should take the time to make a pro. logo.
When I did my logo I stoled it from another company (its easier than dreaming one up)then made some minor changes to fit my needs. I then got together with a local graphics guy and he added some Ideas, did it all on his laptop. It's all history now.

Hey! Thanks for all the ideas. I have already come up with a design but I don’t know what to do next. How can I get a computer image done from drawing I create myself? I'm not the computer type so I can’t get a program and do it. So what’s the next step?

You need to find someone who makes signs.
They have the software to do this. You may want to look under "graphics". Or "graphics design".

Once you get it on the computer he can do anything you want with it.
graphics for your truck or anything you want to put it on.
              hope this helps.

I spent time using Paint Shop Pro to design my logo. I did it myself and put it into business card format. When I took it to Kinkos they asked who did it. I said I did. They offered me a job on the spot as a grahic artist...LOL. My wife, who illustrates children's books says I not artistic, but autistic when it comes to stuff like this. This is what I came up with:

                Download 5,000+ free desktop wallpaper photos. ✓ HD & 4K resolution ✓ Nature, travel & wildlife ✓ One-click install. Trusted since 1995.

It was too much $$ for 1000 cards, so for my cards, I used a single color. But the logo is on a sign on my truck. Next round of cards, when I get more $$, I will use the real image.

I think logos should be designed to look good in black and white so they can be easily reproduced. No offense to the gentlemans work above, but that would seem to be hard to use for shirts, letterheads, and expensive for trucks. I say skip the photo, fill it in solid green add a few quick blades of grass to it in black. Done. Reproducing a logo is one of the main things to look at when designing. Fading colors, photos, and many colors get expensive and very hard to reproduce. Please take no offense.

One must present a professional, high class color logo to lure desirable customers and build a reputable company.

Scaper-S2k if you are too cheap to produce color copies for your company you will never leave Scrubville.

Zack, did you look at the logo? Did you think to understand what I said before putting me down? I believe I left "scrubville" before your birth.

When was the last time you saw a logo using a photograph and printed up on shirts using that photo?

Tell me of a company you know that uses photographs as their logo.

I use color in my logo, but not photo-perfect color.

I said it SHOULD LOOK good in black and white. Go ahead and make a copy of a photo logo, tell me what you get. There is a difference between COLOR COPIES and a PHOTOGRAPH.

I never said you HAVE to use black and white, I said it should look good IN black and white.

You did not understand what I said, but thanks for the compliment about me being a 'scrub'. Ya know, I run one of the last companies you would ever consider to be "scrubs". Get real. If you knew.

We are top notch in work and appearance.

Thank You and please have a nice day.
