Residential billing: Per Occ or Contract

Do you bill your residential maintenance customers by the cut or a monthly level bill for an estimated # of cuts for the season. We do strictly commercial cutting, which is mostly level billing. Was curious how it goes for residential scapers...

We don't set up contracts with the residential and I haven't had a problem yet. But anyway we try to bill monthly? Most customers like this better than after every cut.

I do monthly on a few but most are per cut, their preference. I haven't yet done service agreements but I think I might next year.
